What have you discovered so far about the play your group has chosen to study?
Wwe have discovered that it is set out on a ship which splits in half so the rest is on an Island. we are also still deciding on which characters to chose.
Which key characters have been introduced?
I am thinking of introducing a truck driver to replace a character and pedestrians on ther street also to replace other characters.

1. What changes have you made? changes that i have made are: the time of day (evening to night) i have also changed the features and added features which are more modern.
2. Why? What does it tell us about changes in Australia? it tells us that they didnt have as much oppotunities and access to things like we do.
3. What techniques have you used to reveal these changes (colour, modality, vectors, reading path, symbols, angles, shots, gaze) techniques that i have used are symbolism and colour as it is black and white which tells us that it is old.
4. If you used a technique, why did you choose it? How is it effective in creating meaning? it is effective because it helps to determine the time of the image

1. What changes have you made? changes that i have made to my poem are that i got thew meaning off each sentence and changed it so it can be more modern
2. Why? What does it tell us about changes in Australia? it tells us that the things they hoped and wished for back in the 1960’s is now what we have so it has changed alot over the past years.
3. What techniques have you used to reveal these changes (metaphors, simile, personification, onomatopoeia) i have used metaphors to reveal some meanings in the sentence which made it clearer to understand
4. If you used a technique, why did you choose it? How is it effective in creating meaning? the technique is effective because it gives you a bigger meaning and ubderstanding of the poem and what you have to do.

The message of the books The Rabbits is tring to tell us that the aboriginals were kicked off their land and taken over and their children were stolen from them.
REPRESENTATIONAL: The big golden ship symbolises the power and dominance of the rabbits. The participants are the white rabbits, the aboriginals who are watching and the big ship. The ship also represents aggression and power because of the size of the ship, straight lines and jagged points and edges are also used on the ship. There is also one of the rabbits planting their flag into the groud and also the big clouds surrounding them symbolises that something bad is going to happen. The reading path of this d.p.s. starts on the ship because it is the main attraction, it goes up the big front and drops down onto the white rabbits who are walking in onto their land, it then goes up the back of the ship to the flags that they have represented.
INTERACTIVE: Our attention is mainly attracted to ship as it almost covers the whole page and it just pops to your head when you look at the page. The rabbits coming out of the ship are standing up tall and are looking to achieve something so you know that something is going to happen. The gaze of the double page spread 4 is an offer because the participants are not looking directly at us and demanding us to look back at them. the angle of the rabbits is around an eye level. The ship is a low angle as the readers are looking up at the ship which also gives it power and strength over everything else. The social distance to the rabbits is close and the distance to the ship is far. The colour scales are very real and representitive.
COMPOSITIONAL: The most salient feature is the ship as it stands out in the picture and is the largest object; they want us to recognize the significance of the ship. The ship in the picture also uses golden colours to express wealth and power. The informational value is located at the bottom left corner. the frame of the text is bordered by the black sea around it.

The Stolen Generation
Someone
Turns out the last light
A Blackout
And
A dormitory full of black kids sigh
Unknowing
Waiting for parents to return
A shallow promise from government guardians
If you sleep
A white education waits
If you wake
And
Forgive
The theft of your black soul
And
The destruction of your family
